
Megan Caygill joined Bicker, Castillo & Fairbanks in 2003. In her time with BCF, Ms. Caygill has served as the day-to-day grassroots coordinator for both legislative and ballot proposition campaigns. In addition, she specializes in the crafting of strategic plans, message development, third-party ally recruitment, media outreach and the organization of press events for several clients including topic areas such as transportation, gaming, local government finance and the state budget, redevelopment, electric utility deregulation, education, housing, telecommunications and automobile insurance.
Ms. Caygill recently orchestrated the day-to-day grassroots efforts for the successful Yes on 94, 95, 96 and 97 campaign (Indian Gaming) on the February 2008 ballot. Additional ballot measure experience includes the following winning campaigns: Yes on 1A and 1B Campaign (Transportation Funding) in November 2006; Yes on Proposition 1A Campaign (Local Government Finance) in November 2004; and the Yes on Proposition 55 Campaign (Statewide School Bond) in March 2004.
Ms. Caygill is a member of the Sacramento Public Relations Association.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies with a minor in Economics from California State University, Sacramento and graduated Cum Laude. While a student at CSUS she was involved with numerous organizations including Epsilon Phi, the CSUS chapter of the Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Studies Honor Society and The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
